Privacy Policy

OBSLICE is a service that helps golfers find other golfers to play with. This policy applies to the OBSLICE website and applications.

The controller of your personal data is OBSLICE SIA, Samtu 3, Riga, Latvia. Privacy enquiries: privacy@obslice.com.

When you create an account we process your email address, authentication identifiers and the sign-in method you used. We do not store passwords for Google or Apple sign-in.

Your profile may include:

• Name or display name
• Handicap or ability level
• Home club
• Playing style and preferences
• Availability
• City or area

You can upload a photo or use one provided by your authentication provider. Profile photos are visible to other OBSLICE members.

We use location information to show relevant golfers, courses and rounds. OBSLICE may use more precise location internally for location-based features where permitted, but we do not publicly expose another member's precise residential location. Other members see approximate areas, cities or courses.

Messages sent through OBSLICE are stored so conversations work across devices, and may be reviewed when a report is submitted. OBSLICE messaging is not end-to-end encrypted.

Rounds you create or join — course, date, time, format, participants and requests — are processed to operate the service and shown to relevant members.

Where OBSLICE lists golf professionals or caddies, we process the profile and contact details necessary to present those listings and enable contact.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account information such as name, email address and, where available, a profile image. Apple users may choose to hide their email, in which case we receive a relay address.

We automatically collect limited technical data such as device and browser type, IP address, and log and diagnostic data needed to run and secure the service.

Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (safety, security and service improvement), your consent (for example precise location or marketing) and legal obligations.

We share data with providers who host our infrastructure, database, authentication, email delivery and analytics, acting on our instructions under appropriate agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Parts of your profile are visible to other OBSLICE members. Please avoid publishing sensitive information you do not want others to see.

We keep your information while your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, safety or dispute-resolution purposes.

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact privacy@obslice.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

You can request deletion of your OBSLICE account and profile. Some records may be retained where required for legal or safety reasons.

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We use technical and organisational measures such as encrypted connections, access controls and database-level access rules. No service can guarantee absolute security.

OBSLICE is not intended for users below the minimum age stated in our Terms of Service.

We may update this policy and will change the "last updated" date above when we do.
